ANNE OF GREEN GABLES

“Anne of Green Gables” is a novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, published in 1908. The story is set in the late 19th century and follows Anne Shirley, an imaginative and talkative eleven-year-old orphan girl who is mistakenly sent to live with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, an elderly brother and sister who had intended to adopt a boy to help them with their farm in the fictional village of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island.
